Chapter 17
1. And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
2. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
3. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4. As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
6. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
7. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
8. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
9. And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
10. This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
11. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
12. And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.
13. He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
14. And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.
15. And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.
16. And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.
17. Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
18. And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!
19. And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
20. And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
21. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.
22. And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.
23. And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.
24. And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
25. And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
26. In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.
27. And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.

Oh LORD, Our God,
How Excellent,
How Mighty,
and How Wonderful is Your Holy Name!
And How True and Marvelous is Your Word!
Your Promises and Your Covenants are Forever,
For You Are Righteous and Holy,
And there is No Shadow Of Turning With You.

Abba, Father, Just as You Changed the names of Abram and Sarai,
By adding A Portion of Your HOLY NAME
(The "He" Sound, The Breath of Life, From YHVH),
So that they became AbraHAm and SaraH,
We pray for that very same change in our own lives as we walk before You!
You tell Abram to be PERFECT,
Yet, from what we know about him already, he has messed up a lot,
and Sarai too.
But Now Your have changed them,
Made an Eternal Covenant With Them,
And have Changed Their Names to reflect Your Name.
Their perfection can only Come from YOU.
10. This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
11. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
LORD, we ask that You Circumcise our HEARTS before You.
We realize that this Sign of Your Covenant has gotten Jewish men into a lot of trouble over the years,
For it is the Proof of their Covenant With You,
And can't be disguised.
LORD, give us the Grace and the Courage NEVER to Disguise Our own Faith,
even when the going gets Tough.
Father, We Pray for Israel during the present Crisis.
We Pray for Truth,
Because You ARE The Truth.
We pray for an END to Lies, Slander, Blood Libel,
Propaganda, and Antisemitism against Your Beloved.
We Pray For An End to Slavery, Hostage-Taking,
and Piracy wherever it is Practiced Around the World.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews, In Bondage in Hostile lands,
We Pray For Bibi Netayahu, and the Leaders of Israel
May They Receive Wisdom from You to do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,

Today's Text is Genesis 17 where we read about TWO VERY IMPORTANT SIGNS of The LORD'S Covenant with Abram.
First of All, Abram and Sarai's NAMES get Changed to Reflect Their RELATIONSHIP With The Almighty (El Shaddai).
And Then, The LORD Demands an indelible and unchangable OUTWARD SIGN of AbraHAm's Commitment.
Come and pray For The Peace of Jerusalem, According To The Will and Promise of God.

I find it interesting that the Muslims sealed the East Gate (Golden Gate) and put a graveyard in front of it, thinking that the High Priest (Jesus Christ) can’t walk through. But they don’t realize that Jesus Christ is not a priest in the order of the Levitical or Aaronic priesthood, but he is in the order of Melchizedek. Which means that it’s not a fleshly priesthood but an everlasting priesthood!

There is a pointed attack of a Spiritual Nature going on this morning.
I arose at 6:00AM, as Usual, all ready to do the THREAD and the following happened:
1. Couldn't get the wireless router on Computer #1 to get a signal.
2. Went to Computer #2 (Laptop) and formatted the entire Scripture passage, with breaks and fonts and pictures, and the Laptop CRASHED, going to the infamous BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH.
3. Went back to Computer # 1, Started over from Scratch, was able to post on other threads, but as soon as I started work on "Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem", the Mouse froze up.
I reset the computer, lost all my data, posted on some other threads, answered my email, and started on PFTPOJ again. This time I was able to post.
4. Somebody posted something very nasty in the Thread, but without pinging ME, so if I didn't check the Thread regularly, I would have missed it! I pinged the Religion Moderator to Remove this weed from our Garden of Prayer.
5. Then Computer #1 Froze up again and I am back on the laptop, as I run a diagnostic on Computer #1. So far, it says that there is nothing WRONG WITH IT.
So as you Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem Today, Please say a prayer for ME too?

The 6 day war . . . some don’t realize . . . began 1-3 days before the king of Jordan had decided in his arrogance . . . that HE was the “King of kings and lord of lords” and he had scheduled an opening of that gate and he was going to walk through it.
